3 Things you should never say to your boyfriend
People say one should never start a new relationship based on lies or by hiding his/her past. Relationships are based on trust but, no matter how much you’re asked to share each and every detail about your past, there are a few things which are a strict ‘No’, because revealing them, might end all your chances of a happy relationship, later:
• How many guys you have dated till date
When it comes to revealing your dating past, always remember one thing, men have double standards in judging a woman. If, you have dated a lot of guys before meeting him and you share the same with him, then he’ll think that you’re such a girl, who keeps on changing boyfriends too often and does not get serious in a relationship. Hence, this information, which you’ll share in order to have transparency between you both, will only create a bad image of yours in his mind. So, whenever you’re asked this question, just say as little as possible and change the topic for your own benefit.

10 ways to spice up your love life
Date again: You may be together for a while now, but the first step to bring back the magic is to be able to make an effort. Go on a dinner date every week. And talk about the fun things you could do the next weekend. Think about the dates you’d gone on when you first started dating.
Text your feelings: Your romance began thanks to those tiny love messages to each other. Then eventually it dies down. You probably text each other now only to inform that you’re in a meeting. Start texting again. Send smileys and little mush notes. It’s not cheesy, it’s sweet.
Work out together: Snatch that workout session as the time to bond. Walk or jog together. You’d realisethat keeping fit is fun when you are together. Plus, a walk out of the four walls of your home, with people on the streets, provides enough matter for interesting conversations.

So you think men only want sex?
London: Researchers have found that acts of affection like hugs and kisses were more important to men than women.
And for women, sex tends to get better over time - after a couple has been together about 15 years.
Researchers surveyed over 1,000 couples from five different countries who had been in relationships for between one and 51 years.
Men who reported frequent kissing and cuddling were three times as happy, on average, as those who had less snuggling with their wives or girlfriends.
Women, meanwhile, said that such shows of affection had very little impact on their happiness.
Both men and women reported their sex lives improving the longer their relationship had lasted.
But men were more likely to say they were happy with their relationship while women were more likely to report being satisfied with the sex.
Cuddling vital for long-term relationships
Washington: Cuddling and caressing are vital for long-term satisfaction in relationships, according to an international study.
The couples, over 1,000 from the US, Brazil, Germany, Japan and Spain, were together for an average 25 years.
The study from the Kinsey Institute at Indiana University is the first to examine sexual and relationship parameters of middle-aged or older couples in committed, long-term relationships, reports the journal Archives of Sexual Behaviour.
"It`s important to note that though divorce rates are high in the US, couples tend to stay married -- more than 50 percent of US couples remain in their first marriage, and that number goes up to 90 percent in Spain," said Julia Heiman, who led the study, according to a Kinsey statement.
"We know from other research that being in a long-term relationship has some value to health," said Heiman, director of The Kinsey Institute for Research in Sex, Gender and Reproduction.
Participants in the study were 40 to 70-year-old men and their female partners, either married or living together for a minimum of one year. The study included around 200 couples from each country.

Make that call to your dermatologist:
If you have problem skin, or excessive hair, then innovations such as microdermabrasion, lasers and peels help. Dermatologist will tailor a simple but effective routine that takes little time, and will help you look good, and keep your skin young and healthy, says Dr Mukta Sachdev, dermatologist, Manipal Hospital, Bengaluru. Dont just switch cosmetics or add to the home-cure routine to tackle such problems.
Start your anti-ageing now:
Experts advise that you start using anti-ageing products as early as your mid-20s. So if you havent as yet, start today! Good choices include the Ponds Age Miracle or Gold Radiance ranges. Prioritise sunscreen; it goes a long way in fighting wrinkles. Pick a broad spectrum product with active agents such as Avobenzone and Mexoryl for UVA rays, and zinc oxide and titanium dioxide for UVB rays. Use the sunscreen on your hands, feet, ears, neck, and the back of your neck as well. Try Lakme Sun Expert SPF 30 (Rs 250; 100ml) or Neutrogenas Ultra Sheer Dry Touch Sunblock SPF 50 (RS 450), which glide on without a hint of oiliness. Think of it as a lifelong habit V this single decision will help you keep looking younger, longer.
Cut down sugar:
The food diary helps you balance your meals but remember to be extra vigilant about sugar. The calories from sugary foods are worse than the calories from fatty foods, as they lead to an unregulated metabolic rate, says Hyderabad-based fitness expert, Dinaz Vervatwala. Cut down on the consumption of sugar and refined foods permanently. You should only be eating them 20 percent of the time in a month. Sugar can cause premature ageing as it can trigger a breakdown of collagen and elastin. It also makes your skin more sensitive to the sun, the prime cause of ageing.
GETTING THE MOST FROM THAT SIP of MILK
ONE ARE the days when the only kind of milk we knew was plain and boiled. Today there is a range of milk in the market — full cream, skimmed, tetra pack, organic and flavoured. Condensed milk has become popular in most households and milk powder has replaced the fresh kind in offices and commercial establishments.
But do all these different kinds of milk really offer the same health benefits? We check the facts.
SKIMMED VS FULL CREAM
SKIMMED or toned milk is milk minus fat. It is made by spinning full cream milk at a high speed, a process that separates fat from milk. “ If you spin the milk once, it’s toned milk. If you spin it twice, it results in double toned milk,” says Rashmi Cherian, dietitian, Qua Nutrition Clinic, Bangalore.
POPULAR BRANDS:
Amul Lite Milk, Nestle Slim Milk, Mother Dairy’s Toned and Double Toned Milk.
NUTRITIONAL VALUE:
Skimmed milk contains around 30 per cent calcium, 17 per cent protein and 4 per cent carbohydrates. It’s also packed with good amount of Vitamin B12 ( 16 per cent), riboflavin ( 20 per cent) and phosphorus ( 25 per cent) besides other minerals. While full cream contains 6- 8 per cent fat, skimmed milk contains 0.5- 2 per cent fat. Skimming leads to higher concentration of calcium.
EXPERT TAKE:
“ Skimmed milk is a good choice for those predisposed to high cholesterol and obesity. It is also preferable for pregnant women in urban areas who are at a high risk of gestational diabetes,” says Cherian.

Top 10 healthy breakfast options
Porridge and berries
Use oats and skimmed milk to make your porridge, then add any berries such as strawberries, raspberries or blueberries and honey. This is a great way to start the day as the oats have a low GI (Glycaemic Index) this tells us that oats do not raise the blood glucose level very quickly, which is good as it can help stabilize the appetite. Just go easy on the honey!
Beans on toast
Beans (whether they are just ordinary baked beans or kidney, borlotti or black eyed beans) also have a low GI like oats. They are full of soluble fiber, which helps keep you full for longer and can therefore help you manage your weight. Serve the beans on granary toast and pass on the butter; a great, low-fat breakfast.
Bagel with reduced fat cream cheese and smoked salmon
Bagels are high in starchy carbohydrates, which help kick start the body into action for the day after a fast of at least eight to 10 hours. The smoked salmon provides the body with omega-3 fat which is essential for the body. Many of us eat far too much saturated fat (which is bad for us) and not enough omega-3 fat that is vital for our health.
