See the inside of a refrigerator without opening it!!!!!!

This refrigerator keeps track of what lies on its shelves and, therefore, saves energy.  For starters, it has eyes! Yes two strategically placed pin cameras that keep a track of what is stored in each compartment, so that when you want an apple, you know exactly which door to open. Why all the fuss; to keep doors shut and conserve as much energy as possible. Also to make you look cool with a Jetson-esque appliance which features a touch panel, recipe options and smartphone connectivity.

Flake futuristic concept car - images and video

Flake futuristic concept car was born out of an idea to design a futuristic car that is almost alive. It can lean into the corner and behave like a life creature unlike our traditional cars that usually have boxed body design on wheels. Da Feng, an automotive designer, has designed a stylish car which features emotional and stylish movements through its fragmented surfaces.

Those fragments look like soft exterior shells which act as stabilizer when the car turns into a corner as well as helping to dissipate the heat. The aerodynamic main chassis lets the air flow around the car. When Flake travels at high speed, the shell body turns into sculptural shape to help with the aerodynamics. Flake futuristic concept car uses D-wheels which are flat on the bottom and real-time speed sensor.
All moveable systems of the car are controlled from a puppeteering system which is composed of super strong nano-tube cables and electromagnetic solenoids. The system can track the pressure on each flake and adjust its position dynamically. Flake futuristic concept car body is constructed from carbon fiber and powered by synthetic fuel.

Your Future Wallet will Rock You...........

The Vista Wallet is the first real specialized device just designed for your spending of hard earned cash. In the 21st Century we are always connected, always available, and we can retrieve knowledge and information as soon as it’s discovered. Banking and shopping are still stuck in earlier times, still obeying early closing times when money used to be counted, they still take 24 – 48 hours to clear a check and you only get monthly bank statements. Today’s consumer’s deserve more, as a society we are working longer hours and still have the most debt of any generation.

The problem is a lack of an emotional connection with the spending of money that they never see. The Vista Wallet will empower the consumer allowing them to check their balances online, use analysis software so the wallet can advise on purchases and even see if it would be better to wait until next pay check. For the shopper it allows connectivity that brings a hybrid 21st century form of shopping with “scan and shop”, where online and real world shopping collides in the most environmentally and consumer friendly form. Finally the Wallet will embrace “real money”, using real money and using this concept as a metaphor for the device. The vista wallet will reinvent consumer spending habits and shopping for the good of the consumer.

What if Apple designed ATMs »

Future of ATMs !!!!!!!! The future of self serving banking is not about fully automated robotic teller. We know that modern ATM machines offer a wide range of banking transaction, but it’s not enough. Perhaps the future of self serving banking is about humanized the machine to understand its customers much better. Spanish bank BBVA asked IDEO to rethink their self service channel from scratch in 2007. So, IDEO started to do research by listening really carefully to people talking about their banking experience, finding clues how to make their experience better. The result is the vision for a totally new self service experience, an ATM built from user up rather than components down. You probably wonder how to make an ATM machine more human, well, one of great features is personalization menus based on your past banking transaction. You can see the video for more details.

Soon, bulletproof human skin made from spider silk and goat milk

London, Aug 22 (ANI): Bulletproof vests have been around for decades but skin that can stop them has only been the preserve of science fiction.
The most famous example is Superman, or the Man of Steel - bullets simply ricochet off of him.
Now, scientists have claimed to be making this science fiction into a reality with the development of bulletproof human skin made from spider silk and goat milk.
They genetically engineered goats to produce milk, which is packed with the same protein as silk spiders, which is then milked out and spun and weaved into a material that is ten times stronger than steel.
The fabric is then blended with human skin to make what the scientists hope will be tough enough to stop even a bullet.
Dutch researcher Jalila Essaidi said the 'spidersilk' project was called '2.6g 329m/s' after the weight and the velocity of a .22 calibre long rifle bullet.
Working with the Forensic Genomics Consortium in the Netherlands, she said the goal was to replace the keratin in our skin with the spider's silk.
The first stage involves growing a layer of real skin around a sample of the bulletproof skin, which takes about five weeks.

Hyderabad duo designs robot for low- cost harvesting

ROBOTS are all set to bring down the cost of harvesting. A solar- powered harvesting robot designed by T. J. David and Kudikala Shravan Kumar of the International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad ( IIIT- H) bagged the overall first prize at the Intel India Embedded Challenge 2011 in Bangalore on Friday.
The crop harvesting machine works on 500 watt batteries that can be recharged by solar panels or grid power. The cost of using the robot would be as little as ` 10 an acre if grid power is used for charging as compared to a conventional harvester that uses diesel worth ` 800 for the task, claimed the inventors.
The robotic harvester will come for about ` 50,000, which is 80 per cent less than the traditional harvester, David said.
